Kids’ Programs and Activities

In addition to the programs listed for kids below, be sure to see the Lighthouse Preschool home page.

Sunday School

Sunday School is offered from 9:15-10:15 a.m. every Sunday from the second Sunday in September to the last Sunday of May.  Classes begin with preschool thru 3rd grade. The schedule varies from week to week, but common activities include:

Hearing a Bible Story
The story may be read, told with videos, puppets or in a variety of other ways, but the Good News of Jesus Christ will be communicated.

Crafts
A Bible-oriented craft or activity is something special for younger students.  Older students complete weekly lessons and may have a special project or two during the year.

Singing
Making a joyful noise to the Lord involves the Nursery through Second Grade classes. Sunday School students may share special music with the congregation on occasion.  All students participate in the Children’s Christmas service in December which involves telling the Christmas story through scripture, narration, and song.

Memorizing
We want the  younger children to remember the Word of God through the memorization of some Bible verses. .Memorization of The Lord’s Prayer, the Ten Commandments, and The Apostles’ Creed are added as the children grow older.
