Pastor Jacob Smith was born in Sheboygan, WI to Rev. Bradley Smith and Judy Smith. He grew up in Sterling Heights, MI, which is about 30 minutes from downtown Detroit. Pastor Smith attended Lutheran schools in grade school, high school, and college, graduating from Concordia Wisconsin with a degree in History. He is a 2021 graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO.
Pastor Smith’s father is a pastor in Detroit. He has an older brother who is a pastor in Wausau, WI and a younger brother who is still in college. His mother is a nurse.
Pastor Smith loves history – researching, talking, and reading about it. He brings his love of history into bible studies, adding depth to the studies and making stories more real, which makes the Bible even more interesting. Aside from history, Pastor Smith also likes playing soccer and basketball and watching football and hockey. He also likes playing table top and card games.
